Independent Stirling is a project that celebrates and promotes Stirling’s diverse scene of independent businesses.
We believe that it is the individuality and innovative spirit of local entrepreneurs that sets Stirling apart and we aim to help you discover the best of Stirling’s independent culture – a reason to keep coming back.
Independent Stirling has been developed by Go Forth Stirling Business Improvement District to inspire you to discover, shop and love local. We do that by highlighting independent businesses and the stories and personalities behind them.
Find a business with the ‘I’m In’ sticker on Stirling’s high street and you’ll know that you’re supporting an independent or check our interactive map.
What We Do
- We created an interactive map of Independents and a directory that list almost all of Stirling’s Independent businesses.
- Businesses proudly display the “I’m In” sticker in their windows, so it’s easy to know you are supporting an independent when you
drop in. - We publish guides and tips on what to do in Stirling, highlighting the different businesses, venues and events.
- We write stories about the individual businesses and the people behind them.
- We issue a monthly newsletter with updates from the business community, special offers and upcoming events.
- We promote Stirling Independent businesses not only on social media.

Go Forth BID
Independent Stirling is a project developed by Go Forth Stirling Business Improvement District (BID). Go Forth is a business-led, not for profit organisation working to build a better future for Stirling City Centre.
The BID develops and delivers multiple projects and initiatives to support businesses, to attract customers & visitors and to improve the trading environment of the Stirling BID area; to the benefit of the businesses, their customers and visitors to the city centre.
