Stirling’s independent business owners were recognised and rewarded last night at the city’s first Independent Stirling Business Awards.
The winners of ten awards were revealed during a glittering ceremony at the Stirling Business Awards run by Go Forth Stirling BID.
Teams from a wide range of independent businesses and charities were presented with trophies during the black-tie event at Stirling’s Golden Lion Hotel headlined by Celtic rock band Red Hot Chilli Pipers. The winners were chosen by the public with more than 16,000 votes cast for nominated businesses during the run up to the awards.
The evening was compered by DJs from Central FM and trophies were handed out in a range of award categories. They included Stirling’s Restaurant of the Year which was won by Fletcher’s and the city’s Pub/Bar of the Year which was awarded to the Kilted Kangaroo. The award for Stirling’s Café/Coffee Shop of the Year went to Vera Artisan Bakery while Stirling’s Hair & Beauty Business of the Year was awarded to FrownDocs Skincare Clinic.
Stirling’s Unique Retailer of the Year category was won by Tinkerbells Emporium with Joanie’s Music taking the title of Stirling’s Retailer of the Year.
