Stirling Welcomes Pretty Little Boutique

*PLEASE NOTE THIS SHOP HAS NOW CLOSED AND WILL REOPEN IN LIVINGSON.

We’re delighted to welcome new business Pretty Little Boutique to Stirling.

Opening her new clothes shop, Pretty Little Boutique, in Stirling’s Baker Street is a real dream come true for businesswoman Claire Kaya.

As someone who’s always loved clothes and has a flair for fashion, she is delighted to share her expertise with Stirling shoppers and brighten up the city with her new boutique selling a range of fantastic outfits.
The boutique offers something for everyone with well-sourced partywear, loungewear, footwear, casualwear, bags and accessories which come in a variety of sizes and at affordable prices.

And Pretty Little Boutique, which opened on Tuesday September 22, is a real family business too. It’s run by Claire and her husband Gokhan with Claire’s sister, Julie Duguid, modelling outfits for social media and her cousins, Lara Turner and Samantha Watson, working alongside her in the shop.

Claire says: “Gokhan and I have run a takeaway shop in Raploch for years now and opening a clothes shop is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve been thinking about it and looking at properties for a long time and although the Covid situation held things back a little, we decided to go for it and are really excited to bring our boutique to Stirling.

I’m from Stirling and think there’s a real market for an independent boutique like ours here and I’ve spent a lot of time sourcing clothes from different wholesalers, getting everything right and finding the styles I am looking for.

I’ve always loved clothes and putting outfits together and my aim is to have a boutique which is accessible for everyone with clothes suitable for a range of ages, styles and sizes.”

Since opening, the boutique has proved popular with lots of positive feedback on its social media channels – Instagram and Facebook. The range includes cosy Autumn casualwear, stunning bags, earrings, a selection of boots, party dresses, jeans, jumpers, jackets, pyjama sets, purses, and more.

Claire adds: “We are getting a real variety of customers in and we enjoy helping them put outfits together. “We know it will be slow at first because it’s a difficult time for everyone but business is going well and we all really enjoy coming to work!

I love seeing new styles, looking at what’s coming next and what the next season will bring and I’m careful to source really good brands.

I also look for items which are similar to very expensive products but which are good quality and affordable – for example we’ve got some amazing Fendi-inspired boots which cost £40 rather than £720.”

Photos of the clothes on offer and ideas for outfits can be seen on Pretty Little Boutique’s Facebook page – and on Instagram. And why not pop into the store for a browse and some fashion inspiration from Claire and her assistants Lara and Samantha.

Pretty Little Boutique is based at 4, Baker Street and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and later until 8pm on Thursdays.
