Each of our team have their personal favourite and none of us can agree on which one is the best Stirlng’s curry house.

Green Gates Authentic Indian Restaurant

Located at the edge of the city centre, Green Gates Authentic Indian Restaurant offers customers an intimate dining experience. The dining room layout is spacious for which they are getting a big thumbs up and the decor is also very elegant.

Lunch, dinner, or take-away, Green Gates brings extra care to their customers. While deciding on which curry to try, enjoy a small cup of the daily soup. There’s always the starter option of Pakora or Onion Bhajis, but have you tried Chana Chat (chickpeas with Indian spices)?

Make sure you follow Green Gate’s Facebook and Green Gate’s Instagram so you don’t miss out on competitions that could win you a dinner for two. The restaurant will also be participating in the inaugural 2023 Stirling Cocktail Week with some amazing offers.

The multi-award-winning restaurant is located at 2 Queen St, Stirling FK8 1HN reservations can be made on Green Gate’s website or by phoning  01786473766.

Mint Leaf Nepalese and Indian Restaurant

If you’re looking for a spot to host a larger crowd, then make your reservations at Mint Leaf Nepalese and Indian Restaurant. The spacious and open area makes this restaurant an ideal location for large parties.

We love the large photograph prints on the wall and their staff are always super attentive.

Mint Leaf menu is what we would describe as decently long with a very large range to choose from. We enjoy going with a bigger group, which means we can order more and share.

Try something new with Mint Leaf specialties. The mouth-watering Chicken Sangralia (garlic chicken cooked in coconut and almond gravy with white wine) is a fantastic option when trying something new.

Their dishes are always beautifully plated.

Now, let’s talk about cocktails. The fully stocked bar can whip you up any classic cocktails from margaritas to espresso martinis Mint Leaf has them all.

Mint Leaf’s drink menu also includes a selection of lassis and Cobra beer.

Simply put, Mint Leaf has something for everyone. You can browse the menu for pick-up or home delivery by visiting the Mint Leaf’s website or grab a table at 16-18 Barnton St, Stirling FK8 1NA. Maharaja Authentic Indian Cuisine

King Street is the heart of the city centre and what better way to speak to the heart than by visiting Maharaja Authentic Indian Cuisine?

Serving customers since 1999, the quality ingredients and relaxed dining experience keep customers coming back for more. We recommend the Tandori Mixed Grill Special, with a bit of everything, everyone will find something to enjoy.

Don’t feel like going out to eat but also don’t have the energy to cook? No stress, just order Maharaja on JustEats. However, if you really need a date night then head over to 39 King St, Stirling FK8 1DN.

Om's Indian Delight

A short five-minute walk from the Wellgreen Car Park you will find yourself at Om’s Indian Delight. With the simplistic interior design, the restaurant achieves an elegant and romantic atmosphere. The touch of special lighting makes Om’s a fantastic option for date night.

Admittedly, it is hard to resist the temptations of a great chicken tikka or lamb bhoona. Don’t get us wrong, Om’s does a fantastic job at both, but how about branching out and trying the seafood options?

The king prawn biryani gives you all the flavour and spices you love from a traditional curry without the sauce (which we’ve all had the experience of spilling down our shirts).

Make sure you follow Om’s Indian Delight’s Facebook to read testimonials from satisfied customers and learn about any competitions.

Om’s is located at 17-19 Dumbarton Rd, Stirling FK8 2LQ.

Indian Cottage

Further down Dumbarton Road, you will find the Indian Cottage. Voted as one of the finalists in the 2023 Spice Awards for the “Best Indian Restaurant” in Central Scotland, you are guaranteed mouth-watering flavours.

Always one to love a gathering, the Indian Cottage opens its doors for all major holidays and celebrations. Want a relaxed, no-fuss Christmas dinner? Book a table. Celebrate Valentine’s Day? Book a table. Taking mom or dad out for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day? That’s right, book a table.

Indian Cottage is our go to for lunch deals.

The helpful staff will be waiting for you at 11 Dumbarton Rd, Stirling FK8 2LQ  and you can also book a table on the Indian Cottage website.

Spice Garden

Spice things up with Stirling’s Spice Garden. Okay, ok, all puns aside, the Spice Garden is a local favourite with menu items that will set your taste buds to dancing.

If you have bold taste buds, then we suggest you try the South Indian garlic chilli curry. The bold flavours, while a bit too high on the heat scale for some, bring a whole new dimension to the quality ingredients that are used.

Your stomach will be full without draining your wallet when visiting Spice Garden. Make sure you ask your server about any set meal deals or dinner specials.

Find the Spice Garden at 23 Allan Park, Stirling FK8 2LT or order with Spice Garden’s online service.

Kahani

Kahani Indian restaurant opened in Stirling’s Upper Craigs in Novemeber. If you remember where Nawab restaurant used to be, you’ll easily find this one and  if you don’t, you can’t miss their floral shop front.

We are yet to try this restaurant but if it’s anything like their Edinburgh one, Stirling you are in for a treat! This curry house is known for their street food, also not something Stirling has yet.

The interior of this restaurant is huge and spacious and bonus, it is the only Indian restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can actually see the chefs preparing the dishes.

As if you needed another reason to try all these amazing resturants, but each and everyone of them offer extensive options for vegan and vegetarian diets. No more scanning the menu only to find one sad option. Let your server know of any dietary restrictions or allergies, and the chef will create an amazing dish for you!
