Do you like to meet with friends and talk over an afternoon tea for hours? Or is an afternoon tea a sacred tradition that you have with your mom or granny?
Whatever the occasion, afternoon tea is always a good idea. Luckily Stirling has plenty of places to visit and savour the elegant assortment of finger sandwiches, mini cakes and scones with cream and jam accompanied by bottomless tea, coffee, and should you like, a glass (or a bottle) of prosecco. From historic venues and beautiful hotels to hidden coffee shops, you can choose whatever you like best.
And the best part? some don’t even require booking, so you can be spontaneous. However, most places will still need you to book in advance so they can make your afternoon tea as fresh as possible. We highlighted those that need to be booked and included information about how to go about booking.
Afternoon tea can also be a nice gift and most of the venues will also sell you a gift voucher. You can usually choose an option with or without prosecco. We included links to purchse these in our list too. Finally, keep an eye on the venues’ social media because they sometimes run afternoon tea competitions.
So without further ado, we listed all of the restaurants and cafes in Stirling that serve traditional afternoon tea below. Some of the venues also offer high tea and there are a couple that will prepare and box an afternoon tea that you can take home to enjoy with your family or friends. We didn’t list places that will serve you a cream tea but we guarantee that you can get a scone with butter/cream and jam in almost every single Stirling cafe and also from all of the places listed below.
